It was the best of times, it was the... bestest of times!
I just got back from my girls trip galavanting around Manhattan, a la Blair Waldorf. Okay so we only spend a little bit of time on the Upper East Side but I tried to channel my inner New Yorker and shun the tourist inside of me as we explored the big city.
Unfortunately, as we all know, I am no photographer. Nor to I pretend to be. Hence my decision to transfer the burden of photography onto my sisters' shoulders. So here's a sampling of the photos I have that kinda-sorta show the outfits I wore in NY. If I get ambitious I will try and post more when I get them from my sistas.
Highlights of the trip:
Hell's Kitchen flea market: I found approximately one million vintage dresses and (drumroll, please) an accordion pleated skirt(thanks, M, for sacrificing your find in the name of sisterly love)! I will save photos of these amazing finds for another post (I love building the suspense!)
Side note: After we finished browsing and purchasing at this amazing vintage market, my mom commented to my sisters, "Have you ever noticed how Courtney gets an actual high when she shops?" No denial here. The truth will set you free, my friends.
Max Brenner's: This delightful chocolate-themed restaurant was not only delish, it was positively scrumptious. As an avid chocolate lover, I was in heaven with their desserts and their cocoa dusted (!!) french fries! Thanks to all who suggested this little gem of an eatery.
Wicked: I have seen the musical before, but never on Broadway. And OOMMGosh there was no comparison. It was fan-tabulous! I will be singing "Popular" and "Defying Gravity" in my best mock-vibrato for the next month (plug your ears, for those of you in my general vicinity).
Anyone making a trip to NY soon? I will be happy to share my best recommendations for food, shopping and entertainment! (We wrote everything down so we didn't forget where we went and what we loved. Brilliant idea, right?!)
